Power Magnetronics Make electromagnetic overband separators are used to separate ferrous impurities from any kind of bulk material. When a large volume of tramp iron is expected, a self-cleaning type separator will be more economical than a simple suspended magnet which is sufficient for small quantities. Electromagnetic overband separators are more preferable when strong magnetic fields are needed or arrangement of equipment only allows for high clearance distances. They are used to recover magnetic particles from slag, household or industrial waste, foundry sand etc. and are utilized to protect crushers, belt conveyors, screens or grinders from metallic tramp particles.
Electromagnetic Suspension/Overband Magnets are used for heavy-duty applications which may be beyond the reach of Permanent Suspension / Overband Magnets. They are used typically in applications such as Raw Material handling of Coal, Iron Ore, Limestone, Sugar cane etc. in Thermal Power Plants, Steel Plants, Ports, Sugar Mills, etc. They are used for removing magnetic contaminations from non-magnetic materials in order to protect crusher, mills, processing plants, etc against too much wear and damage. They serve for cleaning non-magnetic bulk goods with iron contamination for instance cleaning of foundry sand, coal. They are used for recovering magnetic material from ore, steel mill slag, etc. Electromagnet Overband separator can be installed for Belt widths ranging up to 2500 mm width and Operating heights up to 1100 mm. The Electromagnet coil may be Natural Air Cooled or Oil Cooled depending on customer’s preference.
